Blog Topic 7: Superhero Powers and Bucket List

       If I can got a super power, I really want to get controlling and reading of people ability. This is because this ability is really useful for maintaining peaceful atmosphere. If I can read people's mind, I can know others' intension so I am able to meet to their requirement. And as controlling people, the possiblity for conflict between people and countries would be reduced.

       Actually, I have Bucket List already. I faced really dangerous situation close to death, when I was in Korea. After that event, I stated to make the list. My list is so many so I would refer just a few thisgs. The first thing is taking a time world around trip alone and with my family after I marry with my future wife. Second one is taking part in world most famous 4 festival, October fest, Mask fest, Tomato fest, and Ssamba fest. Except those, taking airplane driving lisence, doing skydiving, etc,

Summary

      "Gangnam Style" was registered " Most-Liked" YouTube video on Guinness world record in October and became most-watched You Tube video ever. It is about over 2 million more than Justin Bieber's record, under 804 million. The writer mentioned that  "It's inspired countless parodies, with tributes ranging from the Ohio University's marching band to Filipino inmates and even a caricature from the North Korean government(David Ariosto)."

Blog Topic 6: Thanksgiving

Tell us about your experience of Thanksgiving in America.  What did you see, hear, and taste?  What were you expecting?  Do you have a similar holiday in your culture?  Do you still have questions about Thanksgiving? 

During Thanksgiving, I spent time with my host family. My host mother made sixth kinds of dishes included roasted turkey. It's was really fun time with talking about our memories with a bottle of wine. It was first time to eat turkey. It was similar flavor with chicken. But, Thanksgiving was somehow different from my imagination because my friend told me that they make various dishes over 10. Actually, my home country doesn't have a event like Thanksgiving but It is a little bit similar with Korean harvest day.

I'm curious about your reactions to and experience of Halloween in California. Think back on the last week and write a blog about Halloween. What did you experience? What stood out? Did anything surprise you or scare you?


          During Halloween, unfortunately I just do my assignments because I had two second midterm test in  31, October. But I could experienced part of Halloween culture becaise lots of kids who wear costume such as spiderman, ironman, vampire, and etc visited my house and then they told me trick or treat. I replied them trick as a joking so some of them embarrased. After doing joking, I gave them chocolate and candy with taking pictures. when I let three kids bring chocolate candy by themselves, they brought about half of those. So after their case, I gave chocolate and candy for them on my hands to preventing them from getting too many things. It was really impressive memory, because my country don't have Halloween event. 

Blog Topic 4: Are you a reader?

               If I was asked this question when I was young, it is obvious that I say 'no' obviously, but now I sometimes enjoy reading it. If I don't enjoy to read a book, I have to read some books. This is because my major is history, so I have no choice but to read some books. My favorite book is historical books because It sometime give me knowledge such as the origine of Pygmalion Symptom. After coming CSUF, I read lots of books about Global Civilization and U.S history in English, because professors in history class give summary assignments for students which is originally over 50 pages in every classes. From September to now, I already finished to read 5 history books and over 20 short articles. It's is really hard because there are enornous amount of words which I don't know and I have to translate frome English to Korean, Summary in Korean and Translate to English.

Dream Job

    All people have dream job. In my case, I wanted to be scientist in elementary school, movie director in middle school and teacher in high school. But, current my dream job is pilot. There are two reasons.

    The first reason is that it allows me to travel lots of countries without flight fee. Personally, I really like to experience other custom and meet and talk with others because communication and experience give opportunities to widen my perspective than ever. If I can be a pilot it is easy to do without additional cost.

     The second reason is that I am able to get benefits for flying ticket after retirement. Actually, I have a plan to take time for world around trip with my family. If I engage in and retire from Airline Company without big problem, I will be able to buy reduced ticket after retirement. So, it will be a help for my plan.

Travel

I visited a lot of counturies till now. Especially, my most impressive travel is Europe in last year. Actually, I took time to travel to Europe for finding what I want to do in the future, but I can't find it. Instead of it, I faced big problem ; that is language. During journey, I was threaten with knife, stolen. my cellphone. For getting reward from insurance company which I joined, I visited police station, but I can't get a police report I could say yes or no and simple words so I was kicked off from police station by the policeman. And I was under arrested 10 times and spent time behind bars during 7 days in three times because I was suspected drug dealer who was in wanted listed. He is Asian and had long hair, and I also had long hair and I am Asian. When I saw his appearance, he was very different from me, but they consider me as an criminer. I took time at there by  their misteak. However, there was most important problem ; I couldn't insisted my intention. After solving all problem with helping from Korea Embassy, I was off from behind bars. I set a goal and decided study english and to be an exchange student. Finally, I achieved my purpose and I am experiencing American culture and widening my perspectives.

I'm Gisung Kwon

   My name is Ben. actually my korean name is Gisung Kwon. But, it is a little bit difficult to pronouce it. I am from Korea and Keimyung University students as an exchange student. I am majoring in  History however, I'm considering to change my major.

   My hobby is travel and playing guitar.
I really like to spend time to travel so, before arriving in Califonia, I visited 12 countries and over 40 cities during 4 months. Also, I sometimes practice to play guitar but I'm not a good at playing it.  I just like and enjoy it, even I was broken my hands by accident before so, I'm practicing to do well it now.
